Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 brioche buns
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 white onion, thinly sliced
- 4 slices of crispy bacon
- Lettuce
- Pickles, sliced
- Smash Kitchen American Style BBQ Sauce
- Smash Kitchen Organic Real Mayonnaise (for toasting buns)
Instructions
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until your desired doneness. After flipping, baste the top of each patty with Smash Kitchen American Style BBQ Sauce and let it cook into the meat.
- Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the cut side of each bun. Toast them in a skillet, mayo-side down, until golden.
- In the same skillet, cook the sliced onions over medium heat with a splash of water and a pinch of salt. Stir occasionally until soft and golden brown, about 10–12 minutes.
- Crisp the bacon in a pan or oven until golden and crunchy. Drain on paper towels.
- On the bottom bun, layer a generous swipe of mayo, the BBQ-glazed patty, caramelized onions, sliced tomatoes, pickles, crispy bacon, and an extra drizzle of BBQ sauce. Add the top bun and gently press down.
