Ingredients
  • 1 box (8.8 oz) Brami Penne Pasta
  • 1 jar Smash Kitchen Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
  • 1½ cups vegetable broth, chicken broth, or water, plus more as needed
  • 1 tbsp Smash Kitchen Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • ½ cup ricotta
  • Fresh basil and grated parmesan, for serving
Instructions
  1. Warm the olive oil in a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. Stir in the garlic and cook for about 1 minute, just until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the sauce and broth, then add the uncooked pasta. Stir everything together so the pasta is evenly coated.
  3. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce the heat to low, and cover. Simmer for 18–22 minutes, stirring regularly, until the pasta is tender. If the sauce gets too thick before the pasta is ready, add a splash of broth or water.
  4. Fold in the spinach and cook for another 2–3 minutes, until wilted. Stir in the ricotta, if using, and warm through.
  5. Spoon into bowls and finish with Parmesan. Add torn basil and extra cheese if you like, then dig in.
